AFI Fest 2012 today announced the high-profile films that make up its Centerpiece Galas and Special Screenings lineups.
The Centerpiece Galas are: Ang Lee's first foray into 3D "Life of Pi"; "On the Road," from Walter Salles; the animated film "Rise of the Guardians"; and Jacques Audiard's Marion Cotillard-starring drama "Rust and Bone."
AFI FEST presented by Audi will take place November 1 through 8 in Hollywood.
ON THE ROAD: Jack Kerouac’s seminal pseudo-autobiography arrives on the big screen at the intersection of fact and fiction. DIR Walter Salles. SCR Jose Rivera, Jack Kerouac. CAST Sam Riley, Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Stewart, Amy Adams, Tom Sturridge, Danny Morgan, Alice Bragga, Elisabeth Moss, Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortenson. France/UK/USA/Brazil.
Saturday, November 3, 8:00 p.m., Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
AFI Fest runs from November 1st through the 8th in Hollywood. Tickets are free, but dolled out in a lottery system. You must pre-register beginning on October 11th through the 18th. For all your ticket information head over to the AFI website. There are also festival passes for sale, as well as tickets which can give you Priority admission access to the special screenings.
FLASH: ON THE ROAD -- and presumably Kristen, Garrett, and Sam -- are coming to Hollywood for the AFI Fest in November for US premiere.
